REDLAND CEMETERY in San Augustine County, TX, was photographed and transcribed January 2, 2009, by Bob Britnell (misterbob@suddenlink.net). This is an African-American cemetery, located beside Redland Baptist Church, on County Road 220.  DIRECTIONS:  From San Augustine, go west on SR 21 3 miles from US 96, then turn right on CR 220, a dirt road, at the sign for McRae and Redland Cemeteries. Redland Cemetery is about 2 miles down this road; you will go past McRae Cemetery and just a little past CR202.  The cemetery and church are on the left.
There are a lot of unidentifiable graves in this cemetery--many with unreadable markers and many obvious graves without markers--and a lot of small metal markers with missing information.  There is a higher percentage and greater number of military markers here that I've found in other cemeteries. Photos available if requested.
