BOREN-CROCKER Cemetery, San Augustine County, Texas. Visited and photographed May 25, 2008. This small (26 identifiable, 2 unidentifiable
burials) cemetery
is located deep in the woods on a really bad county road. If you plan to visit, go in dry weather in a vehicle with high road clearance and watch the
mudholes. DIRECTIONS: From San Augustine, go south 10 miles on US96 to SR103 and turn right. (West) Go about 2 miles and turn left (south) on FM1751. Go about 1.5
miles; look for the sign indicating the turnoff to Boren-Crocker Cemetery, and turn right on CR4210. The road starts out as a narrow, hard-surfaced road but deteriorates shortly to a badly
rutted, sometimes very muddy dirt track. The cemetery is six miles down this road. (when the road forks, bear right and follow the "better" road.) Watch carefully to the left for
the chain-link fence; the cemetery is hard to see and easy to pass by. On our first visit, the headstones were hidden beneath a knee-high blanket of thick vines and other underbrush. We
returned later with lawn equipment so we could locate the headstones.
This listing is in order of burial starting in the corner to the left of the gate and going up and down the 3 rows.

those burials we can see and identify at the time of our visit.
